Statement regarding the Coronanavirus (Covid-19) -   3/22/2020

Dear Family, 

As you know by now, we have postponed the upcoming retreat in the interests of health and safety for us all. Our hearts are still with all of you and we cannot wait until we can all be together. As soon as we have locked down a new date, we will be in touch with everyone who registered and make sure to send out an email to our Ojah community at large too. Take good care of yourselves! Statement regarding the Coronanavirus (Covid-19) -   3/10/2020

​Dear Family-
 
We are very much looking forward to being on retreat with you, amongst the beautiful trees. We love you and will care for you like family because you are. 
 
As your retreat leaders we have been in deep conversation about the coronavirus (Covid-19) situation and are taking this very seriously. We have spoken with the Groundswell Retreat Center to assure their proactivity around prevention and we will continue our communications with them. We are working to make clear guidelines in case of state mandated closures/cancellations and will absolutely keep you informed.  Each of us must take responsibility to protect ourselves and each other. To that end-
 
We know that extra steps of prevention can make a huge difference. In order to adapt to this ever-changing situation,
We are taking the following precautions:

• We are washing all our blankets and sanitizing our bolster covers
• You will be assigned your own blankets and blocks during the retreat
• We will wash and sanitize all props (extra sanitized mats will be available for those that need them but please bring a mat if you have one)
• We will be wiping down and sanitizing common areas regularly during the weekend
• Food preparation, as always, will be careful and mindful and we will provide these guidelines at the retreat
• We will have unscented soaps and plenty of hot water available
• We have purchased scent-free hand sanitizer and ask that  you bring your own if you have it

 
We will ask for your participation in the following ways:

• Bring your own mats and props if you have them
• Avoid hand shaking (elbow bumps are great)
• Refrain from unwanted hugging
• WASH HANDS frequently, using hot soapy water for at least 20 seconds
• Please do not share food, drinks, bottles or other items
• Help us to wipe down all common and/or shared surfaces after meals
• Cover your mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue when coughing and sneezing

 
Please stay home and take care of yourself and therefore others if you have any illness including fever and cough. We will be delighted to see you next time.
 
May we all incorporate the steps above into our daily routines to help prevent this from spreading.
